Say Hello 2 Lansdowne

Sometimes a song lands in your Release Radar and stops you mid-scroll. That's exactly what happened in June 2025 when "Make It A Lie" showed up — the first single off Lansdowne's then-upcoming album Wish You Well. Hard-hitting, melodic, and anchored by Jon Ricci's absolutely standout vocals — powerful and loud without ever losing the melody — it was an immediate add. Good enough, in fact, to land at #13 on the blog's Best of June playlist. Not bad for a first introduction to a band that's been doing this since 2011.

The follow-up single "Four Wheel Freedom" dropped in August and cemented their spot the list bands we are following. There's something classically American about a rock song built around a car — and this one feels like an Independence Day banger that could sit next to Mellencamp's "Jack and Diane" or "Smalltown". Punchy, anthemic, and road-ready, it grabbed the #9 spot on the September playlist. Worth noting: Lansdowne may be based in Germany these days with a heavy European tour schedule, but their roots are American, and it shows.

By year's end, "Burn It Down" had secured them a spot at #51 on the 2025 year-end countdown. The band wasn't slowing down heading into 2026 either — "Release Me" and "Rescue" both landed on the Best of 2026 Q1 playlist at #4 and #13 respectively. If you like rock that hits hard without making you wonder why someone is screaming at you — Lansdowne belongs in your rotation.

Wish You Well dropped March 27, 2026, and it's earned a firm spot in the No-Skip library. The standout so far is "Feel You Coming" — a track that delivers exactly the intensity and passion the title promises. This one's going on the vinyl list. Say hello to Lansdowne. You're welcome.
