Smells Like Alt Rock

Alright - another week done, more new music coming your way. With this weekend being the last in March, we're starting the April list. Check out the April list on Spotify .  Lansdowne continues to be a staple on our 2026 lists this week with "Can't Wish You Well" and Des Rocs is making a repeat appearance from March to April with "The Riders of Red Hook".  And making their Something Like Alt Rock debut - Good Boy Daisy - has two songs on this week's list. Hard to believe we are a quarter into 2026, so it's time to make some tough cuts. March was a crazy good month for new music, the March playlist peaked at 73 songs. March was full of drops from familiar names like Foo Fighters, Sevendust, Nickelback, U2, New Found Glory, Young the Giant, Depeche Mode, and so many more. And at the same time, lots of bands we've been following since launching Smells Like Alt Rock like: As It Is, Lansdowne, Kensington, L0L0, Dexter and Moonrocks, and The Haunt - dropped some real bangers too.  The task to cut the playlist down for the end of the month was really hard this time, we got it down to a top 20 with 5 honorable mentions.
