While the lineup has changed over the years, much like a lot of the bands I've followed since the 90's, brothers Ed and Dean Roland remain the consistent soul of Collective Soul. Originally out of Georgia, today's lineup, consisting of Will Turpin (bass), Johnny Rabb (drums), and Jesse Triplett (guitar) is still dropping fresh alt rock including 2024's Here To Eternity (recorded at Elvis Presley's Palm Springs estate) and their 2026 drop Touch and Go. The band filmed the documentary Give Me A Word while recording Here To Eternity in California. The documentary, available on multiple streaming platforms including Amazon Prime and Apple TV, details the band's sudden rise to fame via 90's anthem "Shine", the lawsuit against their management company, their financial hard times before Disciplined Breakdown, and how the current lineup came to be.
