As 2025 starts to wind down, big concert announcements have getting dropped over the past week or so. Remember concert math, if you pay for the tickets in 2025, go to the show in 2026 - it's like a free show because you haven't spent any 2026 money. So let's take aa minute to check out the shows we can to "free" next year:

Sonic Temple 2026 - Columbus, OH - So many bands over 4 days, so many stages.  Florence + the Machine are coming to North America in 2026

If I had to pick my favorite bands from high school, the list probably looks something like this: Fuel, Live, Bush, Pearl Jam, and Collective Soul. Of that group, Pearl Jam has had the fewest lineup changes since I started listening — at least until Matt Cameron’s recent departure. Collective Soul has swapped out drummers and lead guitarists since I became a fan. Something Like Alt Rock: Best of March 2026

March was a crazy good month for new music, the March playlist peaked at 73 songs. March was full of drops from familiar names like Foo Fighters, Sevendust, Nickelback, U2, New Found Glory, Young the Giant, Depeche Mode, and so many more. And at the same time, lots of bands we've been following since launching Smells Like Alt Rock like: As It Is, Lansdowne, Kensington, L0L0, Dexter and Moonrocks, and The Haunt - dropped some real bangers too.  The task to cut the playlist down for the end of the month was really hard this time, we got it down to a top 20 with 5 honorable mentions.
